Whether it’s using a rice cooker, stovetop, or even an Instant Pot, there seem to be a variety of techniques out there. Many people find that soaking the rice beforehand can improve texture and reduce cooking time. Have you tried this, or do you have another method that works well for you?

I’m curious to hear your tips and favorite recipes that highlight brown rice. What do you think makes a dish with brown rice stand out?

I usually cook brown rice in my Instant Pot. It comes out perfectly every time, and you don’t even have to soak it! Just a 22-minute cook time with a 10-minute natural release, and it’s fluffy. Definitely makes meal prep easier and saves time!

Soaking definitely helps! I usually rinse it first and soak for a couple of hours, then cook it in vegetable broth instead of water for extra flavor. Also, I find adding a splash of soy sauce or a sprinkle of herbs right at the end really makes it pop!
