How to Clean a Burnt Nonstick Pan Effectively

We’ve all experienced the disappointment of a delicious meal turning into a burnt mess in our nonstick pans. As someone who enjoys cooking one-pot dishes, I’ve had my share of culinary blunders, especially when experimenting with bold flavors. Fortunately, cleaning up doesn’t have to be a daunting task!

One effective method I’ve discovered involves creating a paste with baking soda and water. Simply sprinkle some baking soda on the burnt areas, add a bit of water to form a paste, and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. Afterward, gently scrub the surface with a non-abrasive sponge to lift off the burnt bits without harming the nonstick coating. Another handy trick is to fill the pan with water and a splash of vinegar, then bring it to a boil. The steam helps loosen stubborn residues, making the cleanup much easier.

Keep in mind that nonstick pans require gentle care, so always use soft sponges to prevent scratches. To extend the life of your pan, avoid using high heat and metal utensils.

What cleaning methods do you swear by for burnt pots and pans? Have you tried any other unique techniques that worked well for you? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
